Technical Project Manager
General Job Duties/Responsibilities:
The Technical Project Manager position will serve as the primary technical contact for the Strategic Account Managers. This individual is responsible for customer satisfaction on a technical level for the accounts managed by the Strategic Account Managers. The Technical Project Manager is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service and represent the client’s technical needs and goals. The Technical Project Manager will support the Strategic Account Manager in building relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for being the main point of contact between account management and engineering departments for all technical needs.
- Partners with account manager to assess customers’ technical needs and recommends appropriate service offerings to proactively address.
- Manages a diverse and complex scope of support issues. Solve complex support issues effectively.
- Ensures that client technical issues are dealt with in an efficient and professional manner.
- Works closely with internal teams to maintain knowledge of client projects and is able to identify potential technical issues and/or opportunities within or related to projects.
- Ensures that all processes and procedures are followed and quality standards are met.
- Communicates the client's goals and represents the client's interests to the engineering team.
- Understands the Swiftpage product, service offerings and capabilities.
- Responsible for working with an engineering counterpart to define product release requirements based on key clients' needs.
- Manages expectations between internal and external technical teams while working with the Strategic Account Managers and their key customers.
- Effectively manages trade-offs between cost / schedule versus business/client benefit.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors in Computer Science or closely related field
- 4+ years experience in technical project management
- Experience with integrating different SAAS solutions
- Deep understanding of API integration
- Experience interpreting technical documentation
- High degree of competency and experience with project management including: issue and risk identification, tracking milestones, and communication of overall project status
- Driven to create success through brilliant problem solving, communication, and relentless persistence
- Excellent organizational, analytical and negotiation skills
- Able to perform well in the face of tight deadlines and tough technical and organizational challenges
- Translator between business, technical, and sales people
- Business process and technical aptitudes skills (understand software, hardware, networks, etc).
- Proven ability to work with cross functional teams to drive the implementation of new features as well as resolve operational issue.
- Ability to innovate in a fast-growing work environment and comfortable dealing with ambiguity and sometimes highly-charged situations.
- High level of initiative and works well in a team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well.
- Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction.
Internal & External Relationships:
- Reports directly to the Director of Account Management.
- Supports Strategic Account Manager in the market area to ensure high levels of Client Satisfaction
- Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees
